For community banks and credit unions, service to community is one of the strongest marketing initiatives possible.

Many of these institutions throughout New England are giving back to the community in big ways and we want to recognize and celebrate these efforts! Tell us how your organization created a unique community partnership. Or went beyond the call to aid your community in a special time of need. Or show what your institution’s cumulative effort has meant to your communities.

We aren’t looking for the run-of-the-mill programs here – we are seeking out the banks and credit unions that are doing things that are really interesting, impactful or innovative.

Credit Unions will be recognized for their community involvement, based on asset size:

  • < $500M Gold, Silver, Bronze
  • $500M – $1.5B Gold, Silver, Bronze
  • $1.5B+ Gold, Silver, Bronze

There will also be one overall Best In Show Award given to a Credit Union

Community Banks will also be recognized in three classes based on asset size:

  • < $500M Gold, Silver, Bronze
  • $500M – $1.5B Gold, Silver, Bronze
  • $1.5B+ Gold, Silver, Bronze

There will also be one overall Best In Show Award given to a Community Bank

The Editorial Staff of CenterPoint Magazine, along with other objective professionals outside the banking and credit union markets in New England, will make up the judging panel. Objectives, strategy, execution and results will be scored on a 1 to 10 scale.

  • Objectives – 20% of score
  • Strategy – 20% of score
  • Execution – 20% of score
  • Results – 40% of score

As we celebrate banks and credit unions that have taken a stand in their communities, we’ll welcome keynote speaker Monica Lewinsky, speaking from the heart and reminding us that sometimes it’s difficult to stand up for others – and for yourself. Being a hero can mean many different things and in the digital age, acts of heroism or bullying can take place in an instant and can have life-long effects.

Monica, our nation’s first high-profile internet victim, is a hero in her own right who proved that doing what’s right, no matter what, is the way to take a stand. The institutions – and the people behind them – that we honor with these awards make sacrifices of time, money and energy to give back to their communities and are truly making our world a better place.
