The Banking Choice Awards celebrates the many banks in Massachusetts that provide outstanding service to their customers and members. The finalists for the Banking Choice Awards will be honored in a special ceremony April 26, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 PM at the Omni Parker House.
What are the Banker’s Choice Awards?
Customer Experience Solutions – a recognized leader in tracking and measuring customer experience – administered a comprehensive, independent survey to more than 20,000 bank and credit union customers across the state of Massachusetts; receiving 10,040 responses, yielding 98,932 reviews, and a total of 1,536,000 data points.
The survey asked customers a sizable number of questions about both their primary banking institution, and their perception of other others that they are aware of but not a customer of. Analysis of their responses delivered ratings for each institution in four areas: customer experience, technology, contribution to the community, and overall quality.
Rankings for Overall Quality, Customer Service and Technology are based on people’s responses concerning their primary banking institution. The final category, Community Contribution, is based on the responses for institutions that they are aware of but do not currently use, making it a reputation-based ranking.
Due to the high volume of responses and number of institutions ranked, the top three finalists for banks only was determined from each of the following regions: Central Mass, Greater Boston, North Shore, South Shore/Cape and the Islands, and Western Mass. These 33 finalists will be honored at a Banking Choice event on April 26, 2018 at the Omni Parker House. A separate event for credit unions will take place on May 7th.

The Banking Choice Awards recognize institutions receiving high marks from their customers and members in four categories: Customer Service, Technology, Contribution to the Community, and Overall Quality.
In banking, providing outstanding customer during every interaction is paramount. Exceptional service is defined as ease of use, convenience, staff friendliness, a personalized experience, tailored financial advice, and an overall drive to improve a customer’s financial wellbeing.
Banks and credit unions are investing heavily in the latest and greatest technological updates. New technology simplifies traditional, online, and mobile banking, and aims to improve the overall experience. When it comes to customer satisfaction technology, though, the most prominent drivers of success are low problem incidence and consistency across all lines of bank business.
Contribution to Community
Few businesses contribute to the local community quite like banks and credit unions. As a cornerstone of the local community, banks and credit unions have a responsibility to partake in community improvement initiatives.
When you put all the pieces together, you get a clear picture of a bank or credit union’s overall quality. Customer want loyalty, the best products , value from their institution, a bank or credit union with a great reputation, superior services, and having their needs put first.
